Happy Monday sasspots!
Are you kinda amazed by seeing this post? Yeah me too! Not really. We are starting week one of my new blog schedule and I thought I would kick it off with a little money saving tip 🙂
I have long been a super fan of the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, it’s been my go-to for years and I think anybody who’s tried it would agree there isn’t a comparison. Ok so maybe Urban Decay Naked oooor Shape tape… but I am in forever attempting to find cheaper dupes to my already expensive makeup.
When it comes to makeup I like to think I have one foot in each camp. I love me some smokey dramatic eyeshadow and some bold lipstick – statement makeup all the way. Then again, I am also a huge fan of natural subtle makeup that enhances a person’s natural beauty. It’s classy, it’s elegant and most importantly it cuts my morning routine in like half. So I wanted to share with you my go to Charlotte Tilbury palette!
I feel like I should change the tagline of my blog, to Fashion, Fitness, Food, and Beauty. But it doesn’t really have such a catchy ring to it. Regardless my dears, you are in for another beauty update. Because who needs a niche blog topic anyway? Come to think of it maybe I should just blog about different lash serum?
It would be me if this post wasn’t slightly overdue, it has been a hectic month! Perhaps you’ll remember back in uhm May about this eyelash serum promising me the lashes to die for. Lashes so long and thick that people will wonder if they are real or not?
Well peeps, hold phone because I have now been using the serum for 60 days and I am mind blown.
Ahh Summer, the one time a year every girl wishes they had naturally airbrushed skin, a few freckles and that natural glow that almost makes you look like you are made out of gold.
Lols as if.
Right now I am pale AF and my facial skin has decided it was time I got a little reminder of life 15 years ago when I was at the peak of puberty, also known as the Pizza era.
To top it all off it’s also camping season – that’s festival season for all you cool kids and for semi-high maintenance girls like me, yes semi-high is a word, it’s kind of a nightmare. Look at this as your Glastonbury guide to looking amazing. Your’re welcome!
Guys you know I am a sucker for all things that will make my eyelashes look like something out of a cartoon. I can’t help it, I am obsessed with long thick lashes. When I was younger I spent a lot of my money on lash extensions, some ruined my lashes, some didn’t but it certainly made me addicted to big bold lashes.
Hola sass pots,
I can’t believe another bank holiday weekend has come and gone. I decided to take a little social media detox over the long weekend and spend my time with friends and not glued to a screen. So soz for the radio silence.
In my defence, I did warn you about all the beauty content I had coming up and well here you go. Sorry not sorry.
I know this post doesn’t have a super fancy title, but I couldn’t think of anything else. Anyway, you might remember the post I did about the Pixi Beauty with Em Ford event I went to a few weeks ago. I left with a heavy bag in my hand and a lighter wallet, clouded by the Tonic Glow cult stamp I just wanted it all. Especially the new Pixi Beauty cult product, the 2 in 1 cleanser in collaboration with Caroline Hirons. I’m such a sucker for beauty collaborations.
The great thing about being a woman is that one day I can preach about feminism and female empowerment, the next day I can show you how I splashed my hard earned cash on beauty products. Sans the fact we are in 2017 and I still feel like I am treated like the weaker sex, I love being a woman.
One of the biggest announcements this year so far within the beauty industry was GlossyBox team up with La Mer for a limited edition beautybox. Did you miss it? Yeah don’t worry, you’re not alone. I only heard about it was through stalking some other bloggers on Instagram. Glossybox only had 2000 boxes available and I still don’t know how I managed to get my hands on one.
Right ladies. We need to have a chat. A chat about foundations. Now I am not claiming I am an expert, and I am no makeup artist but in my 29 years I have tried quite a few foundations and I feel I can shine some light on the whole choosing your perfect match. Now let’s be a little realistic, no foundation is gonna perform miracles, and there is a lot to be said for using the right primer underneath as well. Keep in mind that your skin changes as you age, it changes with your diet and hormones and it changes with the weather. Unfortunately, your foundation needs to change too.
I give up on the whole Tuesday tip thing. I can never stick to it and before I know it, it’s Wednesday night and no blog post has gone up.
Or like Thursday…
So whateves, I’m being rebellious, I can recommend you stuff whenever I want! I will not let my tips be controlled by days of the week starting with T! Power to the people!
..No YOU need to get a life!
So while Hannah Gale is getting sent free GHD stuff and Danielle Vanier is strutting her stuff at Dune’s SS17 press day, I’m just over here hijacking any event I can. Because let’s face it, if not I’d still be swearing to the bodyshop brow shadow. Lolz
Which I realized I first started using 10(!!!) years ago – before brows on fleek were a thing
The lastest event I decided needed to be graced with my presence was the launch of the new Makeup Obsession range, currently exclusive to Boots. It was a rather quick stop by, as I feared if they looked too closely at my face they would realize that my makeup was in fact 12 hours old. I’m always so prepared that way haha
Brought to you by Tam Beauty (who own Makeup Revolution), the idea is simple really. You buy yourself an empty palette box, and fill it by picking your favorite colors in shadows, blushes, highlighters and contour swatches. A customized palette to fit your lifestyle and your personality! It’s brilliant really – if you’re not a greedy little blogger like me and ideally want a palette box for each….which you can easily do as each swatch starts at £2! How cheap is that for an eyeshadow?! Did I mention the colors are quite beautiful too? I took the opportunity to venture out from my usual comfort zone in shadow colors and went for something a little different and I am in love love love. It’s quickly become my go to palette. In fact, it’s the only palette I am using at the moment actually… Curious? Check them out here – come to think of it, this makes a pretty amazing Christmas present!
