I love the festive season. I mean LOOOOVE it. It’s also usually my favorite time of year blogging. I mean let’s face it there is an abundance of inspiration around and tons of things to share. However, the last year as been… stressful to say the least and this year I am looking forward to a much-needed break. Here are the 10 things I am looking forward to this festive season
I should have known. I started 2017 with my blog getting hacked, and that set the precedence for the rest of the year.
I’m not gonna do a 2017 outfit recap, or post pictures from what I have done the past year because in all honesty there is absolutely nothing to recap.
Ok that’s a lie. I know the start of 2017 was great, it was beyond great, it was amazing. Then October came around and everything that happened before drowned in the shadow of my fathers’ death. The only thing I can remember is the boyf turning 30.
A few weeks ago I was doing a late shift and enjoying a much-needed lie in when I was rudely awoken by the mailman. I’m not usually fussed by this but for once I knew I wasn’t expecting a package and I was looking forward to a lazy morning. To my great surprise though, it was my very first Voxbox!
VoxBox is a beauty box from Influenster; where you review products and in return you may be chosen to receive one of these beauty boxes to test and review the products. The box I received was full of #HolidayLooks Bourjois goodies!
An oldie but a goodie. Norwegian Christmas bread – also known as Julebrød. A perfect one last DIY Christmas idea for those of you who are running on a last minute schedule.
Personally I have never really been a huge fan of raisins, Norwegian Christmas bread seems to be the exception! The bread is sweet, soft, full of flavor and above all? Super duper easy to make!
I’m such a sucker for pretty much everything Christmas and I should probably be embarrassed. But guess what, I am not! You’re probably gonna laugh now but one of my absolute favorite things about Christmas is selecting a wrapping theme for the year and actually wrapping presents. Yes you read right, I have a Christmas wrapping theme and, no I am not insane.
The closer I get to Christmas, the more I crave Christmas food and for the first time ever I am craving mince pies. Don’t ask me why, I have always thought of them as these dry, tasteless raisin filled fake cupcakes that belong nowhere near a Christmas table. Give me a Norwegian Kakemenn any day!
I also love making my own Christmas presents, and this year I think it might just be Kakemenn 😉
Unless you have been living under a rock I’m sure you have heard of Beauty boxes subscriptions. They are usually monthly subscriptions around £15 a month and include a handful of travel size products within beauty and hair. It’s a great budget-friendly way to try out new products without leaving your home. I love them, particularly because I have a tendency to be an extreme creature of habit.
The countdown to Christmas has begun people and believe it or not I have already finished pretty much
all my Christmas presents for the year! I mean look – it’s even snowing on the blog!
Snaps for me!
Although I am super excited for Christmas this year, I am also dreading it. I feel like Im floating outside of my own body at the moment and I am just kinda waiting to land. It’s also really difficult to know I won’t be able to wish my father a Merry Christmas. It’s a thought that is constantly running through my mind, I have been toying with the idea of starting a separate blog where I write to my dad. I just need to get it out, you know? Anyway, I found a great way to distract myself from, well, myself. Christmas movies! Now I just gotta get Santa (I mean the boyfriend) to buy me a Panasonic Oled 4K TV – it’s the TV of TV’s, the crème de la crème.
